President: Donald E. Jones, Jr.
A fourth-generation oilman, Mr. Don Jones has over 40 years of experience in the oil industry. He grew up in the oilfield, learning the trade from his father. His background includes wildcatting, drilling, workovers, and servicing. In 1987, Mr. Jones was nominated for the Illinois Oil and Gas Association's "Wildcatter of the Year" award. Most recently, he won the prestigious "Lifetime Achievement Award" from IOGA. Mr. Jones is a member of the Board of Directors for the Illinois Oil and Gas Association.
Vice-President: Mark Jones
Mr. Mark Jones, a graduated geologist, has grown up in the oil industry and has been involved in nearly every aspect, including drilling, rig supervision, and daily operations. He is an expert in cementing, drilling fluids, and other well stimulation treatments. It is his responsibility to oversee the finances of Pioneer Oil Field Services, LLC. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Indiana Oil and Gas Association.
Vice-President: Brent Jones
Mr. Brent Jones is a highly-skilled welder and fabricator who has a great deal of experience in the oil industry, especially in drilling and workovers. His expert skills have been used to customize many pieces of equipment and fabricate necessary drilling equipment. Jones Welding, founded by Brent Jones, has a complete fabrication facility and a trained staff capable of producing the highest quality equipment utilizing the most advanced technology available. They have fabricated several pieces of equipment for Franklin Well Services, Inc., including a state-of-the-art frac truck and a cementing pump truck.
Drilling Manager: Mike Robinson
Mr. Robinson has a broad background of oilfield experience. He has over 35 years of drilling, cementing and management experience. Growing up in southern Illinois, he is the third generation of his family to have worked in oilfields of the Illinois Basin. He roughnecked and drilled for several drilling companies throughout southern Illinois in the late 1960’s and early 70’s. In 1976 he started with Dowell Schlumberger in Mt. Carmel as an Equipment Operator. Mike advances through the company to Operations Manager in Mt. Carmel in 1988. He transferred working as an Operations Manager to El Reno, OK in 1991, Beckley, West Virginia in 1992, Kalkaska, MI in 1996, Vernal, UT in 1997, and Grand Junction, CO. Mike retired from Schlumberger after 28 years of service and joined the Pioneer team. He is now the Drilling Manager and is in charge of supervising daily rig operations. His experience in drilling, completing, and servicing wells throughout the country makes him one of the most knowledgeable Drilling Managers in the Illinois Basin.
